Active Kidz 2009
Is your child missing P.E. at school? The Lawton Family YMCA is offering a new fitness program for our youth. The ages range from 9-15. Active Kidz will include a fitness orientation, guidelines for eating properly and a consistent exercise program. The Active Kidz program will register only 24 willing children per session. The program will last for 8 weeks. Below is an overview of what will be taking place during these 8 weeks. Plan ahead...You can sign up any time for ongoing sessions. Get your Kidz Active in 2009 ! Cost: $24.00 (Entire 8 week course)
Week 1:
Fitness Orientation (Assessment, introduction to Fitness Staff, Weight Room orientation, Assign Partners, Meet and Greet.
Week 2-8:
Start Program
Aerobics Training (2 classes: 4:30 and 5:30pm) Step, Kick Boxing.
Pilates etc.
Weight Training (2 classes 4:30 and 5:30pm)

Walk/Run (2 classes: 4:30 and 5:30 pm)

Re- Assessments
Evaluation of Program
Awards Given for Most Attendance, Most Improvement, Positive Attitude.

LPS PROGRAM; 6TH HOUR PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASS
Open to all students from MacArthur , Lawton High
and Eisenhower High Schools
Students with adequate transportation may join this class. The class, including aerobics, kickboxing, strength training and sports conditioning, is designed to teach the students how to practice a healthier lifestyle while they are young.
Once the student has signed up, participation is required. A grade will be given at the end of each semester. Fitness assessments will be given periodically.
Parents are permitted to observe.
