SUMMER DAY CAMPS
Our fantastic summer camp programs are sure to keep your camper active and learning ALL SUMMER LONG.
Our Summer Camps are great for ages 5-16!
**Preferred Registration for ALL DAY CAMP opens for Y-Members only on March 22nd! Non-members can register starting on March 26th.
Camp Siku
Camp Siku (Kiswahili for “day”) is our more "traditional" day-camping type experience. Campers can be dropped off as early as 6:30am and picked up as late as 6:00pm at both locations.
This unique camp offers campers, ages 5-12 an opportunity to build social skills and engage with peers in a non-competitive, traditional summer camp environment. Camp Siku campers also have an optional field trip each week to a new and exciting location SUMMER 2012 CAMP COSTS WILL INCLUDE FIELD TRIP COSTS!
Camp Hoffman
Camp Hoffman is located off Lee Blvd. and SE 60th St. Just south of KSWO. Campers can be dropped off as early as 6:30am and picked up as late as 6:00pm.
This adventurous, outdoor camp offers campers, ages 8-14 an opportunity to build social skills, explore the outdoors, and engage with peers in an outdoor summer camp environment. Throughout the summer we will be focusing on 4 different themes - including; archery, hiking, animal tracking, camp set-up, orienteering, canoeing, & MORE!
Leaders-In-Training & Teen Camp @ Camp Hoffman
Our Teen Camp Program, “L.I.T.” (Leaders-In-Training) is specially designed for campers ages 13-16 years old. LITs will learn how to become successful leaders and develop responsibility during this 3 week course. Teens who would like to come to camp on the weeks that no L.I.T. session is offered may attend Teen Camp @ Camp Hoffman. (15 & 16 year olds wanting to attend Teen Camp @ Camp Hoffman must be registered for at least 1 L.I.T. Session)
HOLIDAY & OUT-OF-SCHOOL CAMPS
An anti-boredom program for school-age children when school is not in session.
Camps are available for Martin Luther King, Presidents Day,
Spring Break,
Fall Break,
Veteran’s Day,
Thanksgiving,
and Winter Break I & II.
Holiday & out-of-school camp program hours are 6:30am-6:00pm. Space is limited, sign up early. Camps may not run if there are no campers signed up. Call the Y early to make sure camp will be held during each school holiday.
