The Lawton Family YMCA has combined the previous YLADIES program with our YOUTH ACHIEVERS program.
This new club's agenda will be designed fully by the teens for the teens, reflecting the issues they believe are
important to undertake. All participants will be involved in the planning and implementation of their projects
through completion.
The YMCA is a leader in helping young people develop assets and reach their fullest potential. The YMCA Youth Achievers will cultivate young leaders who are creative thinkers, skilled in working with groups and committed to a consensus style of problem solving. They will form strong relationships with their club advisors, actively build bridges between themselves and their communities, and step into meaningful roles as future leaders in our community.
If you are between the ages of 13 - 18, you'll get to take action on issues you care about, meet teens from all over the city who share your interests and concerns, learn new ways to get things done, and see the difference your efforts can make.

The Lawton Family YMCA's Back Our Youth campaign is conducted annually to sustain programs that are at the center of our mission. The actual solicitation and organization is by YMCA volunteers giving of their time, treasure and talents to assist the workings of our community's YMCA. Your support goes directly to programs and not to pay campaigners. The programs supported are those which build character but cost money. Without your support, many programs would not be at the level we sustain today.
The annual campaign is held between late April and early May, but you can contribute to Back Our Youth anytime! One simple way is to ask the membership director to add any amount you choose to your monthly bank drafted membership dues. Just imagine what those funds could support. You can change a child's life.

The YMCA is built on the strength of volunteers. You can volunteer to be a coach, referee, instructor, to help in the office or in the weight room. Our YMCA is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors, and every year we need many volunteers to help raise funds during our annual Back Our Youth campaign.
