Silver Sneakers

Program Details
Healthways SilverSneakers and the Lawton Family YMCA have joined together to offer a comprehensive older adult physical program that address the needs of the Medicare population. (usually 65+)  SilverSneakers members, who are of a sponsoring health plan, can receive a basic membership that includes the opportunity to participate in SilverSneakers group exercise classes.

· SilverSneakers classes are available to all members!
· All equipment for SilverSneakers classes is provided.
· SilverSneakers is accredited and has trained instructors.
· Promotions, health education events, and giveaways are offered frequently!

Class Times
SilverSneakers classes meet every Monday through Thursday at 9:30am in the Lawton Family YMCA gymnasium.

Pull Up A Chair

A resistance based workout that includes free weights and flexibility training as well as relaxation techniques, all done in your chair!

E-Z Does It

This class is recommended for seniors and anyone wanting a 45 minute lighter cardio exercise class.

MSROM

Muscle Strength and Range of Motion—for seniors or beginners seeking a lighter workout.

Beginner Step

If you want to learn step, this is the class.  Lean the basics of step every Saturday.

Step

A high energy, low impact class using a height-adjusted step.  This class is good for all fitness levels.

 

Pilates

Combines stability, core, strength and flexibility.  This class is great for toning and tightening  your mid-section.  A rewarding and relaxing workout for all fitness levels.
